Outfielder Erold Andrus (.255/.331/.388 at AA Montgomery in 2008) is playing for the Navegantes del Magallanes in the Venezuelan Winter League. So far he is 1-4 with 2 strikeouts, .250/.250/.250.Infielder Jorge Velandia, who was acquired from the Indians
for future considerations and added to AAA Durham's roster on 9/4/08 (didn't play in the regular season, only in IL playoffs), is playing for the Tiburones de La Guaira in the VWL. He's 2-12 (both doubles) with a run scored, a walk, and four strikeouts, .167/.231/.333.
