The Peoria Javelinas lost to the Surprise Rafters by a score of 9-6 on Saturday. Desmond Jennings played left field and went 0-2. He also reached base after being hit by a pitch and had a GIDP. Rhyne Hughes played first base and was 1-4 (double) with 2 RBI, a walk, a strikeout and a GIDP. Matt Spring was behind the plate and went 1-3 (single) with a walk and a strikeout. He had more troubles in the field Saturday, allowing 3 stolen bases and committing a throwing error. The Javelinas (11-17) are off on Sunday and play the Mesa Solar Sox (17-10, late game tonight) on Monday at 2:35 eastern.
