Minor League Free Agent Signings

Per Matt Eddy at BA, the Rays have re-signed RHSP Richard de los Santos, who pitched for Montgomery (AA) last year. He has been an effective starter when healthy since we acquired him via the Rule V Draft (AAA phase) from Cleveland on December 13, 2004.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed RHRP Nick DeBarr, our 14th round draft choice in 2002, who pitched for Durham (AAA) last year.

And the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed OF Maiko Loyola, who played for Columbus (A) last year. He returns to the Pirates organization where he originally signed as a non-drafted free agent May 23, 2002. The Rays had acquired him via the Rule V draft (AAA phase) from the Pirates in 2005.
