Tyler Hissey Moves To Around The Majors

Tampa Bay RaysTyler Hissey is leaving RaysDigest.com at Scout.com to write at Around The Majors at MVN.com:
Welcome to the newest national MLB blog on MVN, Around The Majors. My name is Tyler Hissey, the man in charge of turning this into one of the more popular baseball blogs on the network.

To give you a little bit of background info, I used to write for a Rays-oriented blog within the MVN community, and then spent my junior and senior years of college offering my analysis on MLB for Scout.com. In addition to my work with Scout, I also have been a frequent contributor to Dugout Central and recently started an MLB podcast on BlogTalkRadio.

I am very excited about turning this into something special during the 2009 season. I will try my best to provide multiple updates per week while I continue to look for a job in the advertising/marketing industry and ponder about the idea of just going to law school.

I am in the process of adding on some new writers for the site (send me an email if you are interested in coming on board, by the way) and hope to post some fresh MLB content at some point this week. In the meantime, feel free to browse through the archives imported from my Blogger account.
Tyler is one of my favorite writers about the Rays and MLB in general, so please visit his new site. Best of luck in your new endeavor!

There is a new blog about a Rays affiliate. Chris Wise is writing about the Durham Bulls at Watching Durham Bulls Baseball:
The Rays’ spring training starts tomorrow, so today seems like a good day to start a blog about the Bulls. I’m learning about blogging (and learning about how to chase down information about the Bulls). My hope is that by the time the first game is played on April 5th I’ll have the hang of this.

That way I’ll be able to talk about the Bulls and won’t be spending time figuring out the mechanics of blogging.
Chris is a nice guy and has a good looking site, so make sure to check his latest posts.
