Tonight’s exhibition with Team Puerto Rico is one of two night games this spring at Charlotte Sports Park (also March 25th vs. Pittsburgh). Tonight’s game result and statistics do not count toward official spring training standings and statistics.
Stat notes:
- The Rays scored just one run their first two spring games while batting just .145 (9-62).
- Since the first two games the club has hit at a .315 clip (56-178) while scoring 40 runs (8 runs/game).
- The Rays 41 runs scored are more than any AL team in the Grapefruit League.
- The Rays 23 doubles are most in the majors this spring.
- Rays pitchers have issued just 14 walks in 7 games, only the Angels (10), White Sox (11) and Padres have allowed fewer.
