The Montgomery Biscuits will hold their annual Meet the Team Event at Eastdale Mall on Wednesday, April 8th at 6:00 p.m. The event will move to a new location within the mall, taking place in the courtyard outside of JC Penney. Fans can interact with the Biscuits players and field staff, as well as get team autographs and photographs. Each player and member of the field staff will be formally introduced to the fans by Biscuits broadcaster Jon Laaser, who will emcee the event.The Biscuits will open the 2009 season with the home opener at Riverwalk Stadium on Thursday, April 9th against the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx at 7:05 p.m. The home opener will feature special pregame festivities, the Knology 2009 Biscuits Magnet Schedule Giveaway and a postgame MAX Fireworks Spectacular. Single-game tickets along with group options are currently available at the Biscuits Box Office and on-line. "This is the best chance for fans to get to know the 2009 team," said Biscuits President & General Manager Greg Rauch. "With Eastdale Mall’s help it has been a great event each year, and this year will be no exception."
At the Meet the Team event, Biscuits players and coaches will also be modeling the Biscuits new road hats, which they will wear for all away games during the 2009 season. The hats feature a new navy-blue bill along with the Biscuits classic "B" logo. The new hats will be available in three different models, including the authentic game version that the players wear, a flex-fit version available in four separate sizes and a twill adjustable version. All three models will be available for the first time at the Meet the Team event. "The new road hats match up perfectly with the Biscuits road uniform," said Biscuits' Director of Retail Operations Monte Meyers. "The new hats provide a classic baseball look that we know fans will love."
