Middle infielder Diogenes Luis has been assigned to the Charlotte Stone Crabs from the Princeton Rays. Luis, who will turn 22 on May 7th, was signed by Rays scout Junior Ramirez on February 10, 2006, as a minor league free agent. He played for the DSL Rays in 2007, putting up a batting line of .258/.360/.361. In 2008 at Princeton he hit .218/.320/.276 while playing 23 games at SS, 16 games at 2B, and 5 games at 3B. He led the P-Rays in stolen bases with 11.
