Minor Moves: Walker

Matt Eddy of BA reports that the Rays have reinstated RHP Matt Walker from the restricted list. He was suspended last July 21st for 50 games after testing positive for an amphetamine, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Walker, 22, went 4-7 with a 4.86 ERA in 66.2 innings for Vero Beach last year. He was the Rays 10th round pick in the 2004 draft. No word yet on where he'll begin this year.
