The Game: The Charlotte Stone Crabs split the double header with the Clearwater Threshers by winning game two 2-1 at Brighthouse Networks Field. The Stone Crabs were on the board first thanks to a solo home run by Matt Fields, his third of the double header and ninth on the season.
Clearwater tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on an sac fly by Dominic Brown that scored Javis Diaz. But the Stone Crabs wasted no time retaking the lead as Shawn Williams singled home the winning run driving in Greg Sexton to give the Stone Crabs a 2-1 win.
Rayner Oliveros pitched 5 shutout innings in his first start of the season, allowing 3 hits and striking out 4. Matt Gorgen got the win by going 2 innings allowing 1 unearned run, 1 hits, 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. Drew Naylor was the losing pitcher for Clearwater.

A Look Ahead: The Stone Crabs and Threshers are back at it on Thursday with game three of the four game series at Brighthouse Networks Field. Jesse Darcy (0-4) will pitch for the Stone Crabs.
