The Rays went position players with their first two picks, so I'd like to see a pitcher go with at least one of the next two picks(4th or 5th rounds). If Kenny Diekroeger and Todd Glaesmann - we really need to come up with nicknames so I can stop typing those long last names - are indeed going to be over-slot signings, then it's reasonable to think the Rays will take a sure-fire slot-or-below college player with one of the upcoming picks.
There are just so many players out there that's tough to name names, but in the 4th round I'd like to see us take one of the top prep arms still available: Louisiana kids Brody Colvin and Zach von Rosenberg are both still available, as are Madison Younginer and Keyvius Sampson. Also, high school catcher Max Stassi says he was surprised not to be picked on day one, and that he isn't asking for a big contract. If that's indeed true, he'd be a great value in round 4.
The draft resumes in about 40 minutes, so check back throughout the day to read up on all the new draftees.
