LHSP Jason Cromer and RHRP Calvin Medlock have been assigned to the Durham Bulls from the Montgomery Biscuits. Cromer, 28, started two games earlier this season for Durham and pitched 10.0 shutout innings with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Medlock, 26, makes his AAA debut this season after spending all of last year on the Bulls roster. At Montgomery this season he had a 3.52 ERA in 30.2 IP's with 37 strikeouts and only 4 walks.
The moves leave the Biscuits with 23 active players, one shy of the Southern League maximum of 23. Two players (Jeremy Hellickson, Jason Perry) are currently on the disabled list and one (Chad Bradford) is currently on an MLB rehab assignment.
RHRP Tom Rafferty was returned to the Bowling Green Hot Rods roster after spending a day on Charlotte's roster. He did not appear for the Stone Crabs.
