Renegades pitcher Albert Suarez will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair his injured right elbow. Suarez traveled to Florida on Tuesday to have his injury evaluated and the team soon received the news.
"He is not going to make it back this season," [Hudson Valley Renegades manager Brady] Williams said. "It hurts a little bit, but we wish him a well recovery so he can come back whenever his time is to come back and get after it again."
Suarez (1-0, 2.79 ERA) injured that pitching elbow in Staten Island on June 25, making his second start of the season. He picked up the Opening Night win against Aberdeen.
