Heavy rain wiped out the opener of the Hot Rods eight-game home stand on Saturday night, ruining the Hot Rods 4th of July celebration. As a result of the postponement, Bowling Green (6-2, 40-38) will play two against the Augusta GreenJackets (5-4, 40-38) on Sunday, July 5 at Bowling Green Ballpark. The first game will begin at 1:05 PM. Gates will open one hour earlier at 12 PM. The 4th of July fireworks have been postponed to Friday, July 10 following the game with Charleston.
If you had tickets to Saturday night’s game you may exchange your ticket stub for a ticket to a future 2009 regular season home game, subject to availability and excluding Major League rehab games. Tickets may be exchanged at the Hot Rods ticket office at Bowling Green Ballpark during regular hours.
The first 1,000 fans into the park on Sunday will receive a Coca-Cola Hot Rods Team Card Set. Hot Rods RHP Shane Dyer (1-6, 5.07) will start game one while RHP Joe Cruz (3-3, 3.02) gets the ball in game two. Both games are scheduled for seven innings. You can follow the action with Tom Gauthier on 1340 AM WBGN and www.bghotrods.com. Coverage begins at 12:50 PM CDT. For tickets and a complete list of promotions, visit www.bghotrods.com or stop by the Hot Rods ticket office at Bowling Green Ballpark.
