Biscuits center fielder Desmond Jennings was promoted to Triple-A Durham after tonight's game.
Jennings was Montgomery's brightest star this season and one of the Southern League's top players. He had a .316 average (third in the league entering Friday), 37 stolen bases (first) and 69 runs scored (second). Jennings also ranked among the league leaders with a .395 on-base percentage and 41 extra-base hits.
Definitely deserved it.
Can't wait to see him in Tampa soon!!
ReplyDeleteI could definitely see him added to the 40-man this fall and competing hard for the right field spot in Tampa, or replacing Upton in CF if they let him go.
