[Via email from the Montgomery Biscuits' broadcaster Jon Laaser.]The Tampa Bay Rays have made the following roster move affecting Double-A Montgomery prior to tonight’s series opener against Birmingham:
INF Brandon Chaves activated from the Disabled List (Elbow) [24 + 1].
Chaves takes the roster spot vacated by Joe Gaetti’s release from the organization and returns the Biscuits to the Southern League maximum of 24 active players. One player (Jason Perry) remains on the Disabled List.

Juan Cuello has been assigned to the GCL Rays from the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
The VSL Rays signed free agent OF Wester Silva. He's listed at 6'0", 170 pounds, 17 years old, from Manilia, Brazil. I googled the name and Brasil and got some hits but they are all in Portugese (I guess?). If anyone can read, post the translation in the comments.
