The Durham Bulls have activated LHP Jake McGee from the 7-day disabled list. I assume this means he'll pitch out of the pen in Durham after rehab with the GCL Rays and last night with the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
Juan Cuello has been assigned to the GCL Rays from the Charlotte Stone Crabs.
I think him being activated just means he's off the DL and no longer on "rehab." I don't think he'd be jumped right up to Durham.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. He's listed as 'active' now on Durham's roster and no longer listed on Charlotte's. Before that he was 'DL' on Durham and 'rehab' on GCL (for 5 starts), and Charlotte (1 start). So I think he's on Durham only, since you can't be 'active' on more than one team.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of is maybe there is a time limit on minor league rehab assignments, like there is for MLB rehab assignments. So maybe they have to activate him and then assign him back to Charlotte. Remember Richard De Los Santos was recently taken off his rehab assignment. But I can't find anything on time limits for minor league rehab assignments, so I'm not sure on this.
So, as of now, he only appears on one roster, Durham's, and he's listed as active and counts toward the limit of 24. Will update with any news/changes.
