Midway High School standout Todd Glaesmann has reached an agreement with the Tampa Bay Rays just two days before the deadline for MLB draft picks to sign. Glaesmann was a third round pick of the Rays, 108th overall.
Glaesmann heads to Florida on Monday where he will join the Gulf Coast League Rays for its final two weeks of the season. After the season, he will report to an instructional camp on September 17th.
Glaesmann tells News 10 his signing bonus was slotted above what was projected for his draft position and that number will be released on Monday.
