Heavy rains around 6 PM EDT left the playing surface at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium unplayable on Monday night, resulting in the cancellation of the final game between the Hot Rods and the Intimidators in 2009. Because it was the final scheduled meeting between the clubs the game will not be made up. The Hot Rods have now had two games cancelled, meaning Bowling Green will play just 68 games in the second half of the season.
After a 1-6 road trip the Hot Rods come home on Tuesday night to try and snap their seven-game losing streak. RHP Chris Andujar begins a four-game series against the West Virginia Power. First pitch at Bowling Green Ballpark is 6:35 PM. Gates open at 5:00 PM for season ticket holders and 5:30 PM for the general public. Tuesday night is a Kraft Singles Tuesday where you can receive a buy one box seat ticket, get one free when you bring the outer wrapper from a package of Kraft Singles to the Hot Rods box office. For complete details and a list of promotions for the entire seven game home stand, visit www.bghotrods.com. You can follow the game on the radio beginning at 6:20 PM with Tom Gauthier on 1340 WBGN and www.bghotrods.com.
