The Charlotte Stone Crabs have released Christian Lopez. The 24 year-old catcher hit .174/.236/.243 in 115 AB's this season for Charlotte. In his last 10 games, dating back to July 8th, he was 0-21 with a walk and 6 strikeouts.
Lopez was the Rays 6th round pick in the 2003 draft.
