Outfielder Fernando Perez has been assigned to the Gulf Coast League Rays on a major league rehab assignment. He is on the Rays 60-day disabled list and is not on the 40-man roster.
Perez made his first appearance for the GCL Rays yesterday, going 0-3 with 3 strikeouts.
