Three Stone Crabs make Post Season All-Star Squad

Three members of the Charlotte Stone Crabs made the 2009 Florida State League Post Season All-Star Roster. Darin Downs, Matt Gorgen and Shawn O'Malley represent the Stone Crabs.

Downs was 12-4 with an ERA of 2.00 and recorded 111 strikeouts before being promoted to Montgomery.

Gorgen only allowed 3 earned runs in 47 2/3 innings pitched while with the Stone Crabs. Gorgen was 4-0 with 15 saves and an ERA of 0.57 before being promoted.

O'Malley is the only player named to the post season all-star team that is still on the roster for Charlotte. O'Malley is hitting .268 on the year with 9 doubles, 2 triples and a home run along with 27 RBI's. O'Malley is also fourth in the league in stolen bases with 40.
