One more thank-you to Stacy Long for his outstanding coverage of all things minors down in Port Charlotte. He'll be providing the same great coverage for Montgomery all season.

This team is going to have to hit its way to some wins, since that infield defense figures to be sub-average. Fortunately, scoring runs shouldn't be a problem for this group.

Looks like my guess earlier about Ty Morrison skipping Hudson Valley proved correct, with Wilking Rodriguez making the same jump. How about that pitching staff: Alex Colome, Kyle Lobstein, Jason McEachern, and Rodriguez fronting the rotation with Scott Shuman and Kirby Yates in a strong bullpen.
Looks like another strong pitching staff for the Hot Rods. Will have to wait and see what kind of hitters we have. Should be more aggressive on the base paths with the new manager.
ReplyDeleteMurrill(29), Bortnick(24), Morrison(20), Nommensen(15), and Biell(12) can all run, so Bowling Green should definitely be running more than last year.
ReplyDeleteThey better run a whole lot, as those 4 OF only have 6 HR between them.
