The Montgomery Biscuits went 5-2 on the week and have improved to 34-25 on the year. The Biscuits have pulled to within a half game back from the leading Jacksonville Suns. The week was highlighted by one of the most explosive offensive onslaughts of the season when the Biscuits clobbered Birmingham 13-5 on Thursday night. Chris Nowak was honored by the Southern League for his offensive performance during the week as he was named the Southern League’s Hitter of the Week.
