Matt looked nasty last night. One thing I noticed is that he gets alot of his K's by expanding the zone and forcing the hitter to chase. He throws a bunch of high fast balls and the hitters at these lower levels bite. His nasty pitch is the curve. That thing has some serious break and it seems he can throw it for a strike whenever he wants. I was watching Hyatt for Clearwater throw and I saw some nice stuff out of him. He looked equally as impressive. I went home and looked his stats up and noticed he was third in the league in K's. Great game!
ReplyDeleteI was very disappointed in our catcher yesterday. His throws to second were aweful. I mean bad. I thought it was Jake Jeffries behind the dish. I noticed the box this morning and it was Vogt. Thank god for that I was really hoping Jeffries was better. Vogt is obviously not going to make it as a catcher as he's listed as a DH on the official roster.
ReplyDeleteMatt Moore #2 on BA's prospect hot sheet this week.Say he is getting ahead in the count more.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Roan Salas still in the VSL league? His stats the lat 2 years there have been terrific!!
