Bowling Green's Kyle Lobstein was named the Midwest League's Pitcher of the Week for the week of August 16 through August 22. Lobstein was 1-0 on the week with his only appearance being a seven inning shut-out against Lake County on Wednesday in which he struck out seven hitters. He is now 8-6 on the season with a 4.20 ERA and 112 strikeouts.
Lobstein was drafted by the Rays in the second round of the 2009 Draft out of Coconino High School in Arizona. He was also named player of the week in the New-York Penn League last season while a member for the Hudson Valley Renegades.
