It's called a "blown" save not a "bad" save! Did you ever play baseball?
ReplyDeleteYes I did...but not very good, that's why I am writing and not playing.
ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness, I missed it at 0430 this morning when I was writing it. Brain not so clear that early in the morning.
Nobody is paying these guys to run this website and imho they do a fine job. That type of criticism is unwarranted when we all knew what was meant (blown versus bad). To do it annonomously adds to the low-blowness of the comment.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, Dan. Thanks again, Jim, for all you do. This a very informative site and I check it often.
ReplyDelete*Dan- One more thing- I am a friend of Tyler's from the Hudson Valley and am so happy he was recently promoted. Congratulations to you and your family.
Would it really make a difference if he/she stated their name? Would you treat it any different if it was Mark from Washington or Stacy from Nebraska?
ReplyDeleteAt least its not a comment blasting the Rays organization for not promoting a player as fast as their daddy wants them to be...
We actually prefer when someone points out a typo or error because we want to be as accurate as possible for fans of the Rays minor leaguers. That said, no need to be a d##k about it. One word out of the whole article was wrong and you have to take a cheap shot at Jim? And you even knew what he meant! Geez. If you want to take a shot a Kevin or me, especially me, go right ahead. But leave Jim out of it, he's busted his butt around here this summer.
ReplyDeleteFor people who want to make those kind of comments or complain about friends and family of the players, feel free to go to one of the other Rays blogs that enjoy/encourage that type of thing. We'll be just fine without you, or Mark from Washington or Stacy from Nebraska.
Unfortunately due to our summer schedules this year, Kevin and I haven't been around as much as we would like. For me that should change in the next week or so with the kids and wife back in school. Again, a big thanks to Jim for all the work he's done here this summer.
No problem Doug. And thanks to Dan and Anon2.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the comments. I know that I am not perfect nor do I expect to be. Only human.
Way to go Otero!!!
