Well, things are just about wound down on the minor-league season, so it's time to wrapping it all up. We'll review our pre-season predictions and pre-season top prospect lists, but first it's time to hand out the Arpy Awards (RaysProspects... RP... Arpy). This year we're turning over the nomination process to you guys, then we'll narrow it down to 5 or so finalists, and then announce a winner. This year's award categories are:
*Best Lead Actor, Pitching Division: Simply put, who had the best season by a Rays pitching prospect? This category is for pitchers who would be in the mix for top prospect discussion.
*Best Supporting Actor, Pitching Division: This is for best season by a pitcher who probably won't be in the discussion for top prospects. It's a tricky line, but I'll sort out who goes in which spot.
*Best Lead Actor, Hitting Division: The hitting version of the award for best season by a Rays prospect.
*Best Supporting Actor, Hitting Division: Same thing as for pitchers, but for guys who swing the bat.
*Best Team Season: Which Rays affiliate had the best year?
*Most Improved Stock: Who raised their prospect stock the most from a year ago to now?
*Best 2010 Debut: Which 2010 draftee had the best pro debut?
*Best Under-The-Radar Season: Which Rays prospect had the best season that no one seems to be noticing?
I'll post my nominations in the comments section, and encourage you to help out too!
