Are the players for the AFL Futures game picked before or during the AFL season?

Here is a press release I received describing how it's done: "Scouting and minor-league directors of every major-league organization, in consultation with Fall League Director Steve Cobb and his baseball personnel staff, selected the players for the showcase. Each major-league organization is represented by at least one player."
ReplyDeleteAlso players who are on the taxi squad (only play 2 days/week) and players who were not on opening day rosters are NOT eligible for the game.
