Per Stacy Long, RHP Jeremy Hall will fill Hayhurst's spot in the Bulls rotation, moving up from the Montgomery Biscuits to start the second game of Durham's doubleheader on Thursday.
Also per Stacy Long, Montgomery has placed IF Cody Cipriano on the disabled list with an ankle sprain. The Biscuits have activated OF Kyeong Kang, who was technically on the roster of the Hudson Valley Renegades.
The Rays have signed LHP Chad Thall from the York Revolution of the independent Atlantic League. He is expected to join the Montgomery Biscuits bullpen.
The 25 year-old reliever was originally drafted in the 27th round of the 2005 draft by the Baltimore Orioles. Thall posted a 3.11 ERA over five seasons in the Orioles organization, the past three at AA Bowie, before joining the Revolution this spring. Here are his career stats:

I expected to see a promotion for LHP Josh Satow from Char. to Mont. today. But, I see they picked up Thall from independent ball. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be one of the Charlotte lefties too, probably Satow. But that's minor league ball, not only have to worry about the players above and below you in the org, but outside of it too.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte is still short a player according to the depth chart. Wonder if anyone is ready to come off the DL or maybe a promotion from BG?
Hoping for Lobstein to get off the DL and start playing for Charlotte.
ReplyDeleteLobstein is now activated. :)I got my wish!
ReplyDeleteNow, I'd like to see Satow get promoted.
You nailed it on Lobstein. He would have had a nice line if Jarman hadn't come in and given up the 3-run HR, 2 of those counted for Lobstein. All in all not a bad first outing. He's still one of the youngest guys on Charlotte's roster too.
