Diamond Tom is correct, * is lefthanded pitchers and batters, # is switch hitters.
For those not listed see the later post of XST and rehab rosters.
Sorry I put this up without any explanations, was so busy getting it formatted and trying to make it usable I didn't remember to post an explanation. There will be a permanent link to this Depth Chart on the top toolbar. I'll update it daily with roster moves.
The idea behind it was to make it easier to see all of the organization on a single page. Sometimes I forget who is at which affiliate, especially relievers and bench players. This should help.
The only problem I see with it is when a player splits his time fairly evenly between 2 positions. For example, for Charlotte, Mayo Acosta catches quite a bit and does some DHing. Since Thomas catches more often, he is listed as the primary catcher and Acosta as DH. That leaves Wendt listed as the backup catcher, when in reality it's Acosta, Wendt hardly ever plays. There aren't many like this, but having Wendt as the backup catcher is misleading since it's Acosta, but Acosta is listed at DH, so he can't be in two places. I hope that makes, sense, been a long day of data entry.
Is there anything else I should add? Space is limited, so I tried to cram in as much as possible. I'll add the rosters for Hudson Valley, Princeton, and the GCL when they come out. Not doing VSL/DSL this year.
Let me know if you have any ideas for improvement, this is just a first draft.
