Columbus Clippers 7, Durham Bulls 6 (10 innings)
Omar Luna was 3-5 while Robinson Chirinos, Leslie Anderson, and Chris Carter each had two hits, including a home run from Carter. Edgar Gonzalez started but was taken out after one inning, and Dane De La Rosa allowed four runs in two innings. Jake McGee allowed a run on three hits, and Mike Ekstrom got the loss with a run in the 10th.
Huntsville Stars 8, Montgomery Biscuits 3
Joe Cruz allowed five runs on 12 (!) hits in three innings and Chad Thall allowed three runs in as many innings. Marquis Fleming pitched two scoreless innings. Tim Beckham and manager Billy Gardner were ejected in the 6th inning. Stephen Vogt and Matt Sweeney each had two hits.
Charlotte Stone Crabs 5, Dunedin Blue Jays 3 (11 innings)
Jake Jefferies and Chris Murrill each drove in runs with doubles in the 11th. Hak-Ju Lee was 1-4 with two walks and Tyler Bortnick was 1-3 with three walks. Murrill was the only Stone Crab with multiple hits. Sergio Espinosa, Matt Stabelfeld, and Josh Satow combined for five scoreless innings in relief.
Lansing Lugnuts 14, Bowling Green Hot Rods 1
Victor Mateo (five runs in five innings), Nate Garcia (six runs in two innings) and James Patterson (three rules, two earned, in an inning) had trouble all day with the Lansing offense. Cody Rogers was the lone offensive bright spot with a 2-4 day.
