For those of you who did not see it, here is a preview of tonight's All-Star Game that I wrote for Claw Digest.
The 50th annual Florida State League All-Star Game will be played tonight at Bright House Field in Clearwater, home of the Clearwater Threshers (Phillies).
Six Stone Crabs players will be joining the Stone Crabs coaching staff to represent the South Division in tonight's game. Tyler Bortnick, Alex Colome, Hak-Ju Lee, Brett Nommensen, Josh Satow and Greg Sexton were invited to the All-Star Game. They will be joining All-Stars from the Bradenton Marauders, Fort Myers Miracle, Jupiter Hammerheads, Palm Beach Cardinal and St. Lucie Mets.
Opposing them is the North Division led by the coaching staff of the Tampa Yankees. Their roster is comprised of players from the Brevard County Manatees, Clearwater Threshers, Daytona Cubs, Dunedin Blue Jays, Lakeland Flying Tigers and Tampa Yankees.
Festivities began on Friday night with the Sunset Reception at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach. Then Saturday kicks off with the Home Run Derby at 5:45 followed by the All-Star Game at 7:05. A fireworks show and post-game party will take place after the game at the Tiki Bar in left field.
