The Upcoming Draft Coverage

The draft is right in front of the door and the Rays have 12 picks in the first 2 rounds. As we can't wait for Monday to come, we try to design the final way to the draft as informative and entertaining as possible for you.

Therefore, next to our everyday coverage and next to the updated top 30 prospect lists, we cover the draft heavily in the coming days:
  • Kevin and I will each post our favorite (and realistic) picks for the Rays in each early round.
  • On Saturday and Sunday we will work on our own RaysProspects Mock Draft. In this mock Doug, Kevin and I will pick sequentially, just like the guys at BA did here. Would you guys like to follow our mock (pick by pick) on twitter? Just let us know in the comment section.
  • On Monday the final updated cumulative mock draft board with the latest draft news will be posted.
  • Kevin and Doug will provide you with LIVE DRAFT COVERAGE for all three days and lots of scouting reports and draft impressions after the selections.
After the draft we will of course have our yearly signing board (CHECK THIS OUT) and lots of further coverage up again. So ... stay tuned for the draft and keep coming here for Rays draft coverage.

    Hi Diamondtom,

    As Kevin and I don't know exactly if we can make it through the whole 1st round in one piece we agreed not to post it on twitter.

    However, we will - after being finished - post a pick every couple of minutes. We will tell you guys when we'll do that as soon as we know when we are finished

    Will the LIVE DRAFT COVERAGE include a live chat during the first day?

    Yup, I'll be doing a Cover-It-Live Monday night, then manning the DRB thread on Tuesday (I think). I'll also be getting the profiles up as soon as possible after the picks.
