Those Bluefield BlueJays need to stop cleating our players!
ReplyDeleteWho got spiked? Sounds like some sloppy play for Princeton last night (link):
ReplyDeleteAndy Fermin led off the first, drawing a walk from losing pitcher Reinaldo Lopez (0-1). Princeton center fielder Deshun Dixon then dropped a Gustavo Pierre fly ball, and Lopez bobbled a bunt by Kevin Pillar.
Charles followed with a single to right field to score a run, and Pillar got caught a rundown between second and third, but Dixon, who came in from center field, was called for interference, allowing all runners to be safe and another run to score.
...
Charles later tripled when left fielder Josh Sale lost his high fly ball in the lights, and scored on a passed ball in the eighth for the final run of the game.
Tom Gauthier said Romero would be evaluated today. Make sure to listen to the game tonight for an update.
ReplyDeleteRemember when Hellickson missed some time when he tweaked his shoulder on a pick-off throw to first? Prospect-raters have labeled him as an injury risk every since because of it, even though he wasn't even throwing a pitch at the time (not that they even know how he was hurt). That still annoys me.
