I wonder if any HV guys will get call from BG for the playoffs. Maybe 1 or 2 of the guys picked for instructs?
ReplyDeleteLenny Linksy was called up to BG.
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that there will be a few guys getting called up after this week. I would imagine they are all pitchers and no position player. If I was going to pull up a position player I would pull up Lyerly. Craige is batting .284 and is 17 for 19 on stolen bases. BG's outfielders have struggle with hitting all year long and lyerly has proven he can hit and run. Lyerly want get the call though. He gets no credit and no one really acknowledges that he is doing well. Even though he is leading the team in batting average and is tied for 18th in the league. He has a 164 at bats and has played in 47 games. So I think it is fair to say that at this point in time he is not just getting lucky that he is actually this good. He is 3rd on the team in rbis, leads the team with stolen bases, and is quickly catching up with runs. But you know maybe I am missing something, it appears to me he is a pretty darn good player.
Here are 2 articles that were done on Craige this year:
