Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs 2, Durham Bulls 1 (11 innings)
The Bulls fell to the Iron Pigs in extra innings to split the series at two game a piece. The Iron Pigs took an early 1-0 lead in the third inning. The Bulls bounced back by scoring in the fourth to tie the game. From there, the pitching staff of both teams keep things nodded up until the bottom of the eleventh when the Iron Pigs pushed across the winning run. Brandon Allen had the only extra base hit for the Bulls, an RBI double in the fourth. Romulo Sanchez tossed three scoreless innings of relief. Jose Lueke was charged with the loss.
Huntsville Stars 3, Montgomery Biscuits 1
The Biscuits struggled to push across runs as they fell to the Stars 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. Matt Buschmann had a ten strikeout afternoon but a quiet offense kept him out of the win column. The offense managed just six hits with Hak-Ju Lee being the only hitter with multiple hits. The bullpen combo of Adam Liberatore and Frank De Los Santos threw three scoreless innings.
Bowling Green Hot Rods 9, Fort Wayne Tin Caps 3
The Hot Rods finished the first half strong by sweeping their series against the Tin Caps following a 9-3 win in the series finale. The Hot Rods found themselves down early but rallied with four runs in the third to take the lead and never look back. Cameron Seitzer was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Juniel Querecuto was also 3 for 4. Jake Hager and Alejandro Segovia both went deep for the Hot Rods. Roberto Gomez picked up the win for the Hot Rods. The Hot Rods finished the first half with a 38-32 record.
