  1. Very interesting. But all the same talk. How about talking more about how the other prospects are doing? Would love to hear more about them for a change. I hear many of them are doing great, so why not talk about them?

    1. Will come tomorrow again. Didn't have time today for the MiL-Breakdown. Will come tomorrow. Tackling on the stats of ALL MiL-pitching prospects in the system.

    2. Who do you want to talk about? Seriously, give me names. I've been thinking about a Player of the Day type thing, just the basics and open it up for discussion. Can be just one or several, would prefer guys who aren't Top 30 types. I'd rather talk about players you're (any of you) interested in, so let me know.

  2. Looking forward to it! But also would like to hear more about "all" of the players and comments on them as well, not just top prospects but all of the players who also play day in and day out and work hard. Baseball is a game of opinion, so lets talk about every player in the system.

  3. How about sifting through each team of players one team at a time. Position players, Pitchers, relief Pitcher's, closers etc. Just a break down on each team and every Player/Pitcher. I enjoy reading about every player in the organization.

  4. This website doesn't care about players, who in the websites or it's writers opinions are not prospects in the organization. They only like talking about their the top round draft picks and nobody else. They have no clue on evaluating a players skill or performance.

    1. Not sure about you but maybe the RP guys have regular day jobs and don't have all the time in the world like you obviously do to write about each and every prospect that has every played in the Rays organization. I've noticed your garbage posts with constant complaints about this site. I can tell they all come from you by your tone. If you're so unhappy with this site then why don't you find another place to read.

    2. BTW this is the first site that I could find that anything about Oscar Hernandez when he was tearing up the VSL. He wasn't on anyones top anything list so eat a dickk.

    3. Bob Lablah ...blah blah blah and blah.

  5. I read other websites that talk about each and every player in an Organization, so maybe it's time they will start to do the same here. It makes for much more interesting reading. So many great players out there that don't get talked about, so hope this will change soon! I have seen so many top prospects fall out, so in saying that, I enjoy reading about all of the players, to see how they are all doing. After all, they are all a part of the team. And they all contribute.

  6. I think you may have made the same point over and over and over..

Perhaps you can help with the site and contribute some pieces on these players? Just a thought.

  7. I agree with every comment above, except the last one. I bored with hearing about the same players over and over. I would love to hear about some other guys in the org that were not top draft picks. for example, what do we know about nommenson. I dont specifically need to hear about him, I just randomly choose a name.

  8. Do you mean you don't like to read about who didn't play yesterday? Me too!

    1. Haha! Great comment!

    2. They don't write about what players did yesterday everyday. They only write about what their favorites did yesterday. It's all about their personal favorites. I'm done with this site!

  9. What's wrong with some people on here who whine about the same thing every day? This website is called "RaysProspects" for a reason. The majority of people who visit this site are interested in following prospects who could eventually make a major league impact. Everyone else are just fillers, who are basically irrelevant to most prospect junkies. I don't mind seeing some of these players get some recognition if they're having a good year, but I'm pretty sure the daily recaps would qualify as that.

    1. You say "everyone else are just fillers"? You know nothing about the game of baseball.

  11. I feel the need to speak up here. This is a free site and open to view or not as you see fit. Comments are welcomed and generally addressed despite the majority coming from anonymous sources.

When asked who needs more coverage an answer of "everybody on every team" doesn't cut it. I find this site to be very helpful with information and commentary despite the fact that I disagree with many of the evaluations and standards used. But I especially like that there are links to every minor league team, their stats, and even other sites that focus on one group. If the info you seek isn't discussed here, a couple clicks can help you find it.

Sorry for the rant, but thought another perspective was needed.

  12. how about not putting up "top 10, 20, 30 prospect" lists. as they are really subjective to opinions and everybody has different opinions! my list won't match yours and your's won't match some one elses and so on & so on. how about covering the players as "players" and let the rays decide who the "prospects" are, after all they are the ones that decide that...not a bunch of amateur bloggers! report on the ALL the players that are having good seasons..or bad seasons...

    1. I agree. So much more to talk about then just 30 players that aren't really all that good. Or some are and some aren't. My opinion.

  13. Wrigley is 25 and in his seventh season in the minors.. He is NOT the rays 1B of the future. He may be a good AAAA player, I'm sure the Hiroshima Toyo Carp are interested mind.

  14. Where is Lyerly ???Should be top 30

    1. You should feel like a real dick after that comment since he got released.

      Delete
    2. Oh and don't even act like u meant that comment because no idiot and there right mind believes lyerly should be a top 30 prospect! Your the same jerk that wrote the sarcastic comment about lyerly being an Allstate and should be promoted to double a!

      Delete
  15. Yout so rude it's not even funny. No one has ever said lyerly deserves to be a top 30 all anyone ever said is he deserves a chance! You will be happy to know his chance with the rays has come to an end he was released on Wednesday. Asshole I really wish I knew who u were because I am sure u know nothing about ball and could never hit a ball.

  16. I didn't realize Lyerly was released. (He was never removed from the HV roster.)

  17. The HV Roster has Lyerly as "Active".

  18. I can assure you he has been released!

  19. Is OF Josh Sale on the Bowling Green DL? With Kevin Kiermayer also on the DL, that leaves only Drew Vettleson and Todd Glaessman in the OF. Do you think Joel Caminero will go back to BG from HV?

    ReplyDelete
  20. CORRECTION~ I meant to say Kes Carter is on the DL for Bowling Green---NOT Kevin Keirmayer.
